I just got back from Victoria Seafood Restaurant (yum). My fortune cookie said the following:
Birds are entangled by your feet and men by their tongue.
Best guesses as to what this could mean? (Apparently some other folks are confused by this same cookie… a search on the web returns a couple other people asking the same question.)
Hmm…

Just an idea: maybe they meant birds are ensnared by their feet – that would make your fortune make sense, wouldn’t it? Birds’ claws get all tangled up in nets that are put up to catch them.

I wasn’t necessarily looking for an answer that made sense.
You’re probably right as to the intended meaning (though I’ll point out that, as usual, it’s not actually a fortune), but I’m wondering what the actual verbiage means to all ya’ll.
For example, maybe it means that the next time I go climbing trees, I should watch out for where I put my feet because otherwise I might be trapped by the tongue of a bird/frog cross-breed. Of course, that’s also not a fortune, per se…

Maybe it foretells that your feet will be really big and gnarly, such that they will entangle the birds of the air, and the “tongues” of your feet (or perhaps shoes) will entrance men…maybe Jenn has an idea.
